DE ONDE VIM

Where It Started

Growing up in Rio de Janeiro, skincare was never complicated. My avó kept her skin with cupuaçu butter and coconut oil she bought at the market. No twelve-step routine. No ingredient list longer than a receipt. Just plants, fat, and sun.

When I moved to the US, I spent years cycling through every moisturiser I could find. Most were mostly water and fragrance. The few that worked were full of things I couldn't trace back to anything real. I kept reading labels and getting more frustrated.

I knew there was something better. I just had to go find it.

O INGREDIENTE

The Ingredient That Changed Everything

I kept coming across the same ingredient in a small corner of the clean beauty world: tallow — rendered grass-fed beef fat. It sounded strange. My first reaction was the same as most people's.

Then I tried it.

It absorbs completely. No residue, no greasiness. It felt like my skin recognised it — because biologically, it does. Tallow's fatty acid profile is nearly identical to your skin's own sebum. Nothing I'd used before felt like this.

Once I understood why it worked, I couldn't go back to anything else.

DE VOLTA AO BRASIL

Adding Brazil Back In

Tallow alone wasn't enough. I wanted the botanicals I grew up with — the ones from the Amazon and the Cerrado that my avó always talked about.

Cupuaçu Butter for deep, lasting hydration. Buriti Oil for its extraordinary beta-carotene content and the warm golden colour it gives the balm. Maracujá Oil because it's the lightest thing I've ever put on my skin — even in Rio heat. Babassu Starch so nothing feels heavy.

These ingredients have been used in Brazil for generations. They don't need a clinical study to prove they work. They work because people have been using them for hundreds of years and never stopped.

BALM DO SOL

One Product. Done Right.

I called it Balm do Sol — Balm of the Sun. Because that's what it is. Something you put on before a day outside and your skin thanks you for.

One product. Ten ingredients. Nothing you can't trace back to something real. Grass-fed tallow, four Brazilian botanicals, non-nano zinc oxide, beeswax, jojoba, vitamin E, and a natural preservative.

No filler. No synthetic fragrance. No oxybenzone. No phenoxyethanol. That's it.

NOSSA MISSÃO

Why It Matters

Terra Sol exists because most skincare is overcomplicated and under-honest. Brands stack twenty ingredients so you can't figure out what's actually working. They add fragrance to make it smell like something clean when it isn't.

We make one thing. We tell you exactly what's in it and exactly where it comes from. If you want to know more about any ingredient, it's all on the ingredients page — every single one.

Slow, honest, and real. That's what Terra Sol is.
